About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make a decent pizza crust for once.
ABOUT ME
Reader, hiker, cook, conversationalist, reluctant 9-to-5er. I’m originally from Austin, TX, USA, went to university in Boston, did an exchange semester in Denmark, and am now living full time in Melbourne, Australia. Am now experimenting with trying to put down roots abroad for the first time, which has been equal parts wonderful and strange. Still have so much to learn.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've only surfed so far, but I'd love to repay the favor to other travelers once things get a little more consistent!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Got started almost a decade ago, but I'm just coming back to it after a long hiatus. I've surfed in Switzerland, Norway, Germany, Austria, Hungary, The Netherlands, Australia, and South Korea so far, but much, much, much more to come.
Interests
Aesthetics, city streets, editing, newness, justice, good storytellers, restaurants, mountains, maps, fireworks, trails, handwriting, beans, beers, rolling down hills, porches, and people.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: (Mostly) sociology and contemporary fiction
Music: Broadcast, Four Tet, The Books, Animal Collective, Bibio, James Blake, Tame Impala, Matthew Dear
Movies: I'm usually consumed by the last few good ones I've seen. Moonlight, 20th Century Women, and The Lobster were recent favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm just lucky to have formed some incredible relationships, CS and otherwise. All of my best experiences were meaningful because they were shared.
