About Me
I am from picturesque Austrian countryside and love reading, travelling and spending time with friends and family. I'm studying translating and interpreting as well as Global Studies in Graz and I am always looking forward to getting to know different people with various cultural backgrounds with whom I can have a very interesting talk.
If you want to get to know me a bit better, feel free and send me a message. I'd be very happy to answer your questions and to get to know you. :)
At the moment I'm spending a semester abroad at Macquarie University in Sydney.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Getting to know a culture is quite hard if you just travel somewhere and act like a usual tourist (staying in a hotel, sight-seeing on a superficial basis, avoiding the country's cousine or whatever...). In Russia and England I already stayed with host families and it's the best experience I have ever made while travelling. I had the opportunity to get to know the people living in this country from a completely different point of view, to see the country I've stayed in like locals see it,...
That's also the reason why I'm on couchsurfing. I want to get to know different countries AND the people living there, their mentality and their way of life. :)
In exchange, I'd like to show foreigners how I am, how Austrians are and what our culture and FOOOOOD is like. I really want to show you what our food, Austrian food is like. You should try Käsespätzle (dumplings with cheese), Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake), Germknödel (sweet yeast dumplings) and, of course, Schnitzel :)
Interests
I love travelling and going out with friends. Apart from that, I am really into photography and reading. You can check out some of my pictures and places where I've been to on instagram: globetrotter1405
Another passion is cooking. I love trying new dishes and trying food from all over the world while travelling. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Honestly, it's hard to only tell about only amazing thing I've done since I'm experiencing amazing things every day. However, one of the most amazing things I've done was travelling north - to Sweden and to Finland and seeing the Northern lights. I spent two weeks in Sweden in summer, just driving around with my friends in a canoe and then camping at some random places in the middle of nowhere, in picturesque Swedish nature. It was a life-time experience, which has shown me how the simplest things and moments are the most amazing ones.
One more amazing thing was floating in/on the Dead Sea in Israel. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I could offer teaching my mother tongue German or praciticing some other languages. Apart from that, I love to share some of my favourite recipes. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd like to share my personal experiences with hosts and to get to know other cultures. I'm from Austria and proud to be Austrian. By the way, I love cooking, also experimenting with different kinds of food (when I'm cooking just for myself) and I'm sure I could prepare a delicious meal for my host to say thank you.
A host is for me not only a person offering a place to stay at, but a person providing the chance to get in touch with a new culture, offering new points of views and helping me to broaden my mind.
