ABOUT ME

Exploring, inspiring, philosophizing, sharing, helping, enjoying, laughing and dancing are the things we love to do with the ones we love.

Last year we both worked; Roeland as an all round handyman in Berlin and Mirian as a social worker with mentally handicapped children in Utrecht. We both liked our work a lot which gave us a lot of satisfaction! But now it's time for a new adventure; exploring the chaos and beauty of India!

Starting beginning of December, we will travel through South India for two months, and after that we fly to Nepal for another four months where we will work for a Dutch NGO. We are both experienced travelers, seen a lot of places in Europe, South America and some parts of Asia (Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Nepal).
We experienced that only spending money and doing all the tourist attractions, is not what travelling is about. Travelling for us is about meeting new (local) people, exploring a different culture by seeing the culture through the eyes of another. Couchsurfing offers an excellent opportunity for that.
We are looking forward to share our adventures with other beautiful people!
