ABOUT ME

I'm Miriam, 22 years old and currently living in Germany to do an internship at Marc O'Polo. I have lived in Vienna for the past year to study and loved that city. I grew up in a tiny town in Upper Austria and love the countryside. I am an outgoing, open, communicative person that loves to get to know different people from various countries and get to know their stories and views on life. My passion is to travel the world and meet amazing people along the way. I am attending an international study programme which has also given me the opportunity to connect with international students from various countries.

PHILOSOPHY

I think my life is worth living because I enjoy every moment and every second of it. When there's sun I always feel happy and I want the people around me to be happy too. My life motto is "how far optimism can take you" - I have once been to Calgary in Canada and I didn't expect much from that trip nor I had I anything planned out. But it was one of the best weekends that I had since I stayed optimistic and everything worked out so well.

I'm on couchsurfing to meet new people, show them around in the cities that I know and share the secret places that are absolutely stunning.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently hosting in Vienna and Rosenheim and am searching for hosts in the places I travel to. It improves the travel experience so much when you are guided by locals that share their favourite spots and stories with you.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

There are many amazing things, it's hard to list one that was extraordinary. I enjoy every single moment and live it as if it was my last. I think that's the best way to live a happy life.

I went up to the Hollywood sign in LA at 5am in the morning to see the sunset from over there and overlook the city. That moment was absolutely breathtaking and it was totally worth the little morning workout/hike.
