Overview
About Me
Grew up in a small country you may not have heard of, went to university in Dresden, Germany and am currently in Taipei, Taiwan as an Aupair.
Since I don't have my own place I can not host - that will probably change in some years =)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I want to travel around the neighborhood while I am in Taiwan (who knows if I'll come back anytime soon)... Going to couchsurfing meetups is also a great way to meet new people and make friends!
Interests
Traveling, obviously - that's one thing we probably have in common!
Books that throw me into an other world, I hate and love that moment when I finish one special one, look around and find the real world completely boring because normal life stopped existing for some time.
Cooking with friends with a lot of crazy laughters is essential every now and then, so is baking muffins!!
Knitting and crochet sounds antiqued, but is very soothing - being creative in any way actually is...
If i'd have the place and time, i would definitively get both, a dog and a cat as companion.
Music is everything: dancing, living, singing, loving, dreaming. I definitely need to improve my piano skills and learn to play the guitar.
When I get to a new place, first thing I'd probalby do is to put on my shoes and walk around for hours to check out the "vibes". It's definitively the best way to travel without stress, just go for it ;D

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: from classic music to jazz, rock, charts,... pretty much everything as long as there's no yelling involved ;)
Movies: Intouchables, Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulin, Chocolat, Pride and Prejudice, old movies like The importance of being Ernest, Animation classics, documentaries...
Series: Lie to me, Sherlock, Elementary, Leverage,...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked to the top of Mount Sinai to see the sunrise over the desert with my best friend.
Went to Benin with people from my school and a non-profit organisation - just about 2 weeks, but those were worth it. In one village the people missed their weekly income at a big market just to welcome us. They had some serious dancing skills =)
Came to Taiwan on my own!! Turns out my host family is the best =)
