About Me

Hello friend, my name is Mirko and I am a math student from Münster. When I am not studying different kinds of infinities and other interesting theoretical stuff, I like to hang out with friends at cafés chatting (or reading on my own) or at bars drinking and playing card games. Also I like visiting other courses in university. Psychology is my minor, but I also took courses like Ethics of Biology, Chinese Calligraphy, Troy; Truth or Myth? and other interesting stuff. There is just so much fascinating stuff in the world that one can learn.
I like to be outdoors, going around the old town and the market, having bbq (for me vegetarian but you do you of course) or going for a swim in the canal nearby. Table tennis, basketball, soccer, volley- or spikeball, bouldering etc; you name it, I am in (but not really good in any of them).
Board games are always nice as well. I particularly enjoy chess but I am down for most of them.
I also enjoy spending time on my own a lot, since I like to draw, read and occasionally write. Sometimes I just talk to myself or my plants as well.

I do not follow any strict philosophy but try to be open to new ideas. When I find something new I enjoy, I tend to spend a little too much time on it soon.

CURRENT MISSION

Finishing the last exams and writing the master’s thesis.
Exploring Slovenia from 22.08. until we run out of money or time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To broaden my perspective on life and to meet people.
This platform makes travelling much more unique, enjoyable and affordable, which I think is just great.

Interests

As mentioned above, my intrerests are quite diverse. Almost anything that people have a passion for can spark an interest in me.
And I really love to try new food. The more you travel, the more people you meet, the more interesting food you get to try.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Soul, HipHop, Rock, Jazz, LoFi, …
Movies: The Bluesbrothers, Lord of the Rings, Bohemian Rhapsody, Star Wars, Green Book, Interstellar, A Beautiful Mind, The Gentlemen, The Imitation Game, ... too many to list all of them.
Books: Currently reading the autobiography of Barack Obama, before that the novel "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett. All time favourite: One Piece.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are interested I can teach you some chess or share some stuff from my studies. Drawing is something I usually only do on my own but maybe the vibe is right.
Or maybe rather a nice card game?

I am open to learn anything new! But particularly interested in gardening and history lately.

If you know any nice (logic) riddles, please share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook us something to have a nice conversation while having some (hopefully nice) food.
Also, if you collect something and let me know, I can try to diversify your collection (my sister for example collects sugar from different cafés over the world).
Hopefully a good time overall.
