About Me

Hello everyone, I'm Mirko an Italian guy.

Born and raised in Spotorno, a little seaside town in Liguria and for this reason I totally love the life around the sea and sometimes i really need to go for a swim.

Then for the university I moved to Turin, to study automotive engineering. Cars, one of my passion, thanks to my father who was a rally driver. Here in Turin I discovered for the first time the feeling of "Big city life", and I actually didn't mind it.

I spent the last year of my master degree in Windsor, Canada. There I experienced a completely different way of living, the "american dream". The city where I was, is actually really american and a lot influenced by Detroit (one of the most suggestive cities I visited). Even if the "american dream" was fantastic I preferred to come back to Europe and live a more easy-going life enjoying good food and wines ;-)

I graduated in automotive engineering in November 2016 and now I'm currently employed in Maserati.

I'm a life enthusiastic and I want to experience everything at its best. I've always been a traveler, since I was a child in fact I used to go in vacation with my parents with our camping car. I've seen many placed with them, but I further want to expand my horizons.
During my trips I love to walk exploring every part of the cities I'm in and I especially like the least know spots. I love to loose time enjoying the way of living of locals. Furthermore I think the best way to enjoy a new place is to eat like the locals and try to do the same activities they do.

I'm really easy-going and almost nothing bother me since I'm extremely open minded. I love to talk to people and every time I meet someone new I want to know his/her story.

For the rest, I'll share my experiences directly to you :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to travel living like the locals, sharing with them our experiences and our stories.
I always love to ear other's stories and at the same time tell my story.
I believe couchsurfing is one of the best ways to get in touch with new interesting people and share point of view from different cultures. You can always learn something by a "stranger".
In addition to that I strongly believe in other people and I my dream is that we could come closer and trust each other much more.

I really love cooking, so I could cook something for you. Ok don't expect me to be an awarded-chef, but I could do some good dishes.
