À propos de moi

Hey there world of CS!
My name is Miro and I am a recent grad trying to plan my next trip!
Born in Ukraine and raised in NYC, I have grown to love the Hispanic/Latino culture after studying abroad in Spain and reading books about South America.
My passion for travel has only grown stronger after studying international business and learning more about other cultures.
Looking to travel far and wide while meeting people from all sorts of backgrounds!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting new people and hanging with locals!
Discovering places off the beaten path (stay away from Times Square!)
Making connections with people from all around
Listen to the interesting travel stories CSers have
Learn the skills seasoned hitchhikers/travelers (my thumb doesn't bend enough :/)

Centres d'intérêt

Geography, languages, culture, geopolitics, cuisine, history, recent events, tech

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

RHCP, The Killers, Emancipator, drum&bass, chillstep, EDM

Into the Wild by Jon Krakauar
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

My favourite travel experience was hitchhike California, including surviving without money for a few days after someone stole my backpack from a BMW 435i convertible I couldn't afford in the first place, having to panhandle in gas stations to pay for premium gas, meeting people from all walks of life..from CEOs to bankrobbers and living to tell the tale.
Sleeping on the beach in Santa Barbara was another highlight :)

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I am a great guide when it comes to the East Village, Lower East Side, Astoria, LIC and Roosevelt Island. From bars to historic places, it's all included haha
I enjoy teaching others important phrases (for drinking of course) in Russian and Ukrainian. Also I have lots of pointers on what to see and do in NYC

Learning about other cultures is one of the main reasons I am on CS. To share stories, lessons and experiences with other open-minded people makes life interesting!

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

Company, stories, experiences, my limited cooking skills, exercise advice and most importantly phrases to get you by in Ukraine and Russia :)

Pays que j'ai visités

Barbados, Canada, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain, Ukraine
