I am an active guy and some of my friends say that I am also a fun guy. I try to travel as much as I can and I work in IT. I am that kind of a person that doesn't pull out a mobile phone on a concert to record it and rather watches it all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually can't get myself to plan a trip properly so it really helps to meet some locals and get the best tips from them. It's pretty easy to lookup the most visited places, but I like to visit the forgotten ones. This is also the best way how to get an honest opinion on life in a different country. It's also good to meet people outside of your social buble.

Interests

I like mixing up an active life and days spent with a book. I enjoy evenings with my friends when we play some board games as much as I enjoy evenings in a tent after a long hike with a full and heavy backpack. I try to pay attention to world events as much as I can and I like to discuss them. I have played guitar for several years and I still love music. I spent some time creating background music for a student theater and I spent a couple of years going around czech castles with a group performing scenic fencing and fire shows. Then I have moved to live action role playing games, managing summer camps for kids and other similar events. Since then I have tried rock climbing and right now I am a member of a mountaineering club located in Brno.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not a fan of an electronic music. I am a huge fan of metal, rock, folk and movie scores. To give you some examples: AC/DC, Finntroll, Turisas, Two Steps From Hell, Sarah Jarosz, Old Blind Dogs, Julie Fowlis, Faun, Bob Dylan, Haggard, Modest Mussorgsky, Irfan, Dropkick Murphys, Wardruna, Gloryhammer and many, many other. I like fantasy, scifi and horror books, let's mention Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Andrzej Sapkowski, Juraj Cervenak, Sergej Lukjanenko. And I like simple action movies which don't require my attention as for example Die Hard. Cthulhu fhtagn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I Did some climbing in the High tatras on non anchored routes. That was scary. Especially when I came back in winter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I associate the words teach and learn with willing and time costly effort to comprehend a complicated subject. Since sharing experiences with other travelers is enjoyable and non violent process, I would rather avoid them and use the term share. I travel to share stories and opinions.
