Hi there,

I currently live in Vancouver, BC Canada, but I come from Bratislava Slovakia.
I moved to Canada in May 2017 to get the experience of living abroad and "survive" by my own. It is hard, but fun at the same time. After I finished my Master in Slovakia, I worked for IBM for 2 years. Currently in Vancouver I work in hotel as receptionist/ concierge. It' s nice, I get to meet lot of different type of people everyday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about it, but never actually checked it out.
It seems like good (cheap) option to travel the world and meet people at the same time. Last year, I went to Hawaii for 3 weeks as volunteer (I worked with exchange for accommodation and food). It was also my first travel ("vacation") by my own. This year, I would like to try couch-surfing., as I know what to expect from traveling etc..

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, I have a lot of interests :D

I will start from the top..
I dance social dance called Hustle. It is partner dance, but it gives you freedom to add your own style in to it. I am also one of the leaders in the community in Vancouver and teaching Hustle on weekly basis (80 average people per class in summer).

Like I mentioned, I love dance, so I am also interested in different types of dances like street dance (waacking) and also other partner dances (Zouk)

I like to be in good shape, I work out but very causally not very serious..

I also enjoy organizing events. Basically any type of events, but as I am in dance community, I organize dance events on monthly basis.

Dancing and music are connected, I like good music. Basically I can listen everything from Rock through Pop to Jazz, depends on my mood. I have some favorite artists too.

I also love traveling, exploring new places and meeting new people. Sounds cheezy, but it's true. For example, I love to come to a party where I dont know anybody. It's great feeling to go and meet new people.

There are also other thing I like, eg good food, good coffee, hiking, swimming, etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was brave enough to stepped out of my comfort zone and quit my good paid job in Slovakia and move to the other side of the world without knowing anybody and start completely new life from the bottom.

I could also share my knowledge about Vancouver nice places, also as a receptionist, I have some coupons available for discounts of attractions. As I mentioned I am in dance community, so I know a lot about cool underground events, and places that you wont find in tourist guide.
