About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy INDIA
ABOUT ME
I'm running a language institute in Gurgaon.
I want to welcome people from all over the world and have them interact with my students who mostly come from Japan.
Check my website! http://misao.in/
I was born in a small town of Japan and traveled a lot both domestically and internationally for my study and business as well as vacation trips. e.g. Australia 1 year, India 6 months, Germany 1 year, South Africa... NOW BACK AGAIN IN INDIA!!!
Right after getting my Bachelor's degree, I worked for Oracle 2 years and later joined a mobile venture firm in Tokyo. I pretty much enjoyed my life in Tokyo for over 3 years, but I really needed a change - that's the reason I went to Europe.
I think I'm a very open-minded kind of person with a global mindset and it's always easy for me to get closer to new people regardless of nationality, age and gender.
I prefer hosting a small home party with my cooking rather than clubbing all night long. That's simply because I really want to enjoy conversation with my guests in a quiet place. Or am I just getting old??
PHILOSOPHY
Getting to know new people is the biggest passion in my life.
Although I was engaged in IT industry for some years, I recently switched to educational services, which has been my dream since my university time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in a 3 bedroom apartment with some students of our school.
If time permits, I'm willing to cook for the guests.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Experienced hosting and visiting several times.
I didn't really expect that I could meet up with such attractive people through couch surfing.
Interests
Playing the piano for more than 20 years and making music on a Mac as well as playing in bands.
Cooking almost everyday - Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Indian and Vietnamese. I challenge anything.
Wine - recently I've been digging Sauvignon blanc from all over the world. So far New Zealand produces best ones in my opinion.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love listening to club jazz, electronica and post rock.
Especially Icelandic musicians are my favorites such as bjork, sigur ros, mum and Feldberg.
As a pianist, I worship Michel Kamilo as a god.
Other favorite musicians: Mogwai, Kyte, toe, Hird and Hiromi Uehara.
I rarely watch movies nor read books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bomb explosion in a market just 100m ahead of me. (Delhi, India 2005)
Teach, Learn, Share
As a matter of course, I can teach Japanese language and culture. I think I'm one of a few Japanese guys who can clearly explain them in English - even how to make sushi!
Also you can expect to learn how to play piano and keyboards.
I love making videos as well. check out my works on vimeo,
