Overview
About Me
Hellooo! My name is Mischa Onitskansky Stevens, welcome to my profile! About me... hmm.... My greatest passion in life is music. I love to playing music with people -- jamming with people, performing and composing -- music is something I can lose myself in and feel at peace. I have just graduated from studying philosophy at the university of Edinburgh. My dissertation was titled "Do Animals Have Free Will?" (they do btw). Whilst I love to dig deep into a philosophical quandary, Ive spent the past 4 years studying how to think about thoughts, so I'm embracing a new chapter in my life to travel, meet new people, see different places, environments and ways of life and to find some new adventures to get lost in. Im particularly keen to volunteer helping refugees and to visit places with inspiring music, like west africa and south america.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Its a fantastic way to meet people and to share experiences, conversation, food and music with them. Im not so interested in staying in hostels, only meeting other travellers and never interacting people who live in the place I'm visiting. I'd rather make friends with locals. I think that couchsurfing is the best way to experience a place as you can see it through the lens of someone who lives there. Also I love people's homes! I like noting all the little intricacies of how people make their nests and how these reflect their lives and personality.

Music: I really enjoy teaching music; I've taught guitar, bass and djembe to kids and adults, so it'd be a joy to teach/exchange some skills, songs and I would absolutely loovvee to have a jam if you play music!
Cooking: I love cooking and could teach some of my recipes. I love joint cooking and would really appreciate learning some new recipes.
LEARN
Languages: I want to learn to speak the language of where I am as best I can, so I would greatly appreciate if you indulge me in helping me practice your language. I speak a bit of french and Im especially interested in learning to speak it better.
