ABOUT ME
18 year old from Sydney, I've started my studies in Paris this year and am loving it! My passion in life is languages - I have travelled in France, Germany and Italy learning the language and now I'm studying Chinese and Finnish! Beyond that I love travelling - being somewhere different, hearing a different language, eating new things and of course sharing what I know (I love to cook and am happy to speak lots of different languages). When I travel I like to hitchhike and couchsurf because it's the best way to meet people, and hopefully some of them will come back and see me in Australia or Paris one day. If possible, I like to get out of the city and see something wild - my best experience travelling so far has been in Canada, where I spent six months working on a farm in the Rocky Mountains, at a lodge in the frozen North and kayaking on a small island on the wild west coast. I can't do without nature and I don't mind the cold!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I first started using CS in Canada, whenI hitchhiked from South to North, staying each night with different and wonderful Canadians, all incredibly generous and open. Now that I'm in Europe it's something I'd like to do again because there's so much to see and it's all so close! Hopefully some of the people I meet will visit me one day in Australia, because I love sharing my country with others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Always positive - I've always been amazed by the openness and generosity of couchsurfers, and I try and do the same. I stayed a week in Yellowknife with two wonderful hosts who took me to see the ice caves, introduced me to their family and friends and made me the best pancake breakfast I've ever eaten. They introduced me to the ice-fishermen across the lake and we ate together every night and shared some of our favourite films...
Interests
hiking/camping/swimming/kayaking/running/reading/writing/talking/cooking/eating. I like WINTER (we don't have it in Australia) but can't do without the ocean - in Sydney I go swimming, windsurfing and spearfishing at our beautiful beaches.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Paddled the Murray River in Australia, cycled from Rome to Santiago de Compostela and spent a night in an abandoned cabin on a peak in the Rockies.
