About Me
ABOUT ME
My educational background is in microbiology, but for the past 14 years I've made my living primarily by riding folks around on a sparkly blue bicycle taxi. I spent about 10 years living and traveling on sailboats with partner at the time. For the past 3 years, I've been living in a big house in Boston with 5 other folks, enjoying the ability to grow lots of plants and not worry about storms sinking my home. I'm into all sorts of DIY and tinkering, libraries and thrift stores, foraging and gardening, and camping and bike touring. I've been vegan for 15+ years, but I don't mind eating and sharing a kitchen with animal products. I don't smoke and rarely drink.
PHILOSOPHY
Spend and wage slave as little as possible. Value time over money. Try to be compassionate toward people and animals. Create a small foot print.
Use it up. Wear it out.
Make it do or do without.

Music, Movies, and Books
Cartoons! Venture Bros, Sealab, Invader Zim. Peewee's Big Adventure is the most underrated road trip movie of all time. Rocky Horror Picture Show. Documentaries. Sci Fi. Cult Classics.
Doc Watson, Gillian Welch, The Beatles, Townes Van Zandt, all kinds of soulful, wailing, old timey music. Underground hip hop. Grungey stuff.
Slaughter House Five, Narcissus and Goldmund, Desolation Angels, most everything by Camus
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sitting alone at the helm of a 25' sailboat on a moonless night 65 miles from land on the way to the Dry Tortugas. Phosphorescence in the water getting mixed up with the stars.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know some stuff about: microbiology, bicycle repairs, wild edibles, knot tying, making bread, sailing, 12V electrical systems, home made seitan.
I'd like to learn more about: sailing and navigation, sewing, speaking Spanish, growing food, foraging for food, woodworking, DC circuit wizardry.
