ABOUT ME

My name is Dan, and I'm an American who just returned back to the US after living in Europe for 8 years. I want to see as much as possible, do as much as possible, and meet as many people as possible. I love music, and if I could travel the world playing music, I would. I love meeting new people, and try to immerse myself in the culture of whatever place I'm in at the time.

Wow, a lot to list here...here goes.

I'm addicted to music. My all time favorites though are Led Zeppelin, Misfits, Bob Dylan, Bad Religion, The Smiths, Against Me!, The Whore Moans, Gaslight Anthem, Bouncing Souls, G.B.H, Mischief Brew, Deer Tick, Bread and Roses, Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains, Atmosphere, Joy Division...so much.

I'm a huge movie nerd too. I like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Heat, In the Loop, Road to Perdition, The Godfather, Last of the Mohicans, Gangs of New York (pretty much anything with Daniel-Day Lewis), In Bruges, so on and so forth. I have about 500 DVDS, so this would take awhile..

Literature...I love Jack Kerouac, Henry Miller, Charles Bukowski, Robert Jordan, George R.R. Martin, Plutarch, The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Gibbon, House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielowski, Apathy and Other Small Victories by Paul Neilan, anything by Chuck Klosterman. Right now I'm reading Dubliners by Joyce.
