About Me

CURRENT MISSION

living a life filled with colour and texture, music and laughter, adventures and experiences

ABOUT ME

curiouser and curiouser

PHILOSOPHY

experience life fully with no regrets; look after family, friendships and self; leave a mark on the world that endures and improves the people or place

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

toe in the water; eye on the horizon

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met the most wonderful, open-hearted and generous people on my CS trip across America! Being new to CS, I am learning heaps and looking forward to more experiences with travellers

Interests

taking the lesser known path down alley ways and through and under buildings rather than the main and well trodden road. Oh, and the more conventional things like music, theatre, comedy, cycling, yoga, pilates, hiking and gardening. And I enjoy good food and a glass or two of wine...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Action and adventure, comedy, drama and romance - esp movies that linger with you for days or weeks after you've watched them (eg Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind; Perfect sense; Look both ways).

Music - lots, incl Patty Griffin, 10,000 Maniacs, Cat Stevens, Van Morrison, Billie Holiday, Norah Jones, The Decemberists, The Lucksmiths, Michelle Shocked, Cat Empire, The Whitlams.

Books - I get impatient with badly written text or boring story lines. I love books by / authors like Tim Winton, Joanne Harris, Maggie O'Farrell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Raced the sun across Death Valley and survived. An other-worldly place....

Teach, Learn, Share

happy to share experiences and places I've found and enjoyed - esp local and lesser known. I can also share my beginner skills in making sourdough bread. And I have a piano which cries out for better players than me!

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, United States
