Overview
About Me
Greetings fellow human being!
I was born in the U.S. but raised for almost 18 years in the Dominican Republic. I consider myself Dominican since it's the culture I grew up in plus my entire family is from the island haha. I moved back to the United States in 2006 and I've been living in NY ever since.
Philosophy:
As Einstein said;
"If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A very good friend of mine (I'm not gonna name drop but he's been in CS for a bunch of years and is super active here) talked to me about Couchsurfing and the idea behind it and I was amazed. I'm here for the experience of getting to know people from all over the world, have crazy fun experiences together, make new friends, and to get a glimpse into different perspectives.

Interests
Films, food, makeup (I adore makeup and everything that has to do with it), good tv shows, being on the internet and photography. I'm drawn to the artistic things in life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I listen to mostly anything except for genres like country, ska and/or screamo (and the likes). My Spotify playlists are different variations of indie folk though!
I'm a huge film nerd and my favorite directors are Stanley Kubrick, Christopher Nolan, David Fincher, Hayao Miyazaki, Quentin Tarantino, Spike Jonze, Steve McQueen, Nicolas Winding Refn, Guillermo del Toro, and Paul Thomas Anderson
Books: The house of the Spirits by Isabel Allende
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to Europe for the first time all by myself. I'm not the adventurous type so this was a big deal for me haha.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you Spanish. How to make an amazing mojito. If you're into makeup, I can teach you how to get a natural contour that doesn't look over the top!
Learn: It might sound generic but EVERYTHING! I consider myself a sponge and I love to know how things work, what other places there is to visit, what's the secret in that recipe your grandmother gave you.
Share: Friends.
