My day job is in video production, mostly editing anything from documentaries, social media content to marketing videos. However, my true passion lies within visual art. I am a sculptor by trade, working with mostly clay, resin and metal at the moment (check out some of my art on instagram if you like @misklectic). This year I will be checking out the Setouchi Triennale.

Aside from that, I am a massive foodie - I love to cook and I love to eat out. Food brings people together and it is one of my favourite ways to discover a new country. I love history and delving deep into discussions of social topics of the moment, films, books, or some new abstract idea. I am also a techno lover and in a new place will make it my objective to seek out a record shop or cut loose at a neat little underground club. I love well made drinks - always quality over quantity!

Lastly I would also add that I am fully house trained - neat and respectful, I clean up after myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started using CS when I travelled in Europe during 2014, I've always met amazing people and had great experiences from it.

Interests

Whilst my interests are more entwined with arts, culture, and humanities, I also highly value the experience of the 'new' and so, therefore, wouldn't pass up an invitation to experience something I haven't done before - I'd be just as comfortable hiking as I would in a sports game or opera show.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books on social topics - currently reading "The Empathy Instict" and "Homo Deus". The book that really left an impact on me was "The Bookseller from Kabul" and "1984".
