About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Loving life, exploring the world ... and answer all my CS messages

ABOUT ME

I just came back from an amazing gap year exploring the Americas, from Mexico to South America.
I'm outgoing, adventurer, open-minded and a sharing person, I like to discover new things and I love a lot of stuff among which maybe stand out movies and the beach, party, dance, travel and to know people and their culture.

I'm currently living in Paris, going out, travelling, learning and exchanging ideas as I go, attempting to pick up the local languages, meet as many interesting people and have as many amazing experiences as possible.

I really am passionate about meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures... Just hanging out in Paris with a good meal and fair number of beers or wine. Usually, I don't use cameras but I like to create memories with people who are also discovering the world.

The more I travel and experience new places and meet people, the more it appears this dear Socrates I had been made to study at highschool was right: as this old folk used to put it, "the only thing I know for certain is that I don't know!"

PHILOSOPHY

You rarely regret the things you do. You usually regret the things you don't do.
Think as you want. And if you can, act upon it.
Always try to reach out, understand the complexities of people and life.
"The world teaches us a lot more than any book does" St-Exupéry
"Freedom has no price"

"I don’t want comfort.
I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin." (Aldous Huxley)

Have fun, live, see the world, a lot...!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently: lots of hosting these days!

As a guest, i am pretty independent and very laid back and never asks for more than people are willing to give, just trying to have a good time, discover places and connect to people and their interests as simply as possible...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A lot of hosting in China where I used to live, many friends made while couchsurfing in Mexico and too many meals, laughs and parties...

I've had so far so many wonderful conversations, meals, laughs, and experiences with people from around the world with people really thrilled by their trips, happy to explore a new culture and have fun...

I really think CS is somewhat a little revolution in the way you connect to a place and people...It's a wonderful way to bridge gaps and to bring people together.

Anyway, being in Paris means that you have always a friend, friends'friends', acquaintances... that asks you for hospitality!

I hope to do more surfing myself in the future, but for now I'm very happy to host whenever I can.

Interests

Understanding, people, walking in old streets, cultures, good food, partying, movies, music, too much TV series, social activities and networking, dancing (especially latin dances), exchanging ideas, walking, going out with friends, listening to great songs on a beautiful beach during the sunset, social working, psychology/politics, experiencing existence as fully as I can, the normal and then some more... do I have to mention travelling?

Music is my faithful addiction. A good song is pure emotion. My greatest regret is that I don't belong to the accolytes of those arts, the musicians (not yet, I'll learn to play something decently somedays). I try to be as open as possible that I can about music: I listen to almost all that's worth listening from colmbian ballenato to Brit rock with diversions to italian cantautori, kazakh R&B and the pychedelics noises of Wax Tailor: a lot of Antony & the Johnsons these days, Bat for Lashes, Devandra Banhart, The Kooks, Babyshambles, Beirut, Jil is lucky, The Libertines, Regina Spektor, The Killers, Roisin Murphy, The National, Coldplay, The Smiths, Morrissey, Imogen Heap, the Killer,Ray Lamontagne, Jose Gonzales, Conjure one, Elliott Smith, Bloc Party, Rufus Wainwright, Damien Rice, Arcade Fire, The Beatles, The Kinks, Jeff Buckley, Janis Joplin, The Cure, Oasis, Muse, Placebo, Moloko, Joy Division, The DOORS, Patrick Wolf, Gotan Project, Andrew Bird, Metric, Interpol, luv The Shins, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Arctic Monkeys, The Cardigans,Nina Simone, Bob Dylan, Radiohead, Amon Tobin, , The Roots, Holly Golightly, Keran Ann, David Bowie, Jurassic 5, Sonic Youth, Miles Davis, Ryan Adams, Fats Waller, Susumu Yokota, DJ Shadow, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Holiday, Plaid, Louis Armstrong, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Jackson C Frank, Badly Drawn Boy, The Kinks, Arvo Pärt, Beastie Boys, Aphex Twin, Oscar Peterson, Nightmares on Wax, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Duke Ellington, Boards of Canada, Bert Jansch, John Coltrane, Elastica, Röyksopp,Wax Tailor, Kings of Leon, Daft Punk, Tom Waits, Four Tet but also dancehall, reagge, pop, house,psychedlic...
