About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Doing my PhD in England
ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm 26 years old and am doing a PhD in Psychology at the University of Birmingham, England.
I grew up in a small village in Bavaria near the border of the Czech Republic.
In my freetime, I like spending time with my sister 8when I'm in Germany), being outside (both winter and summer), cycling, going for a walk or a hike; I like to travel, see the world, going to museums, improving my language skills (English, Spanish), reading, and playing video games.
I like to be in a good mood and to laugh with friends, although some of them say that sometimes I'm taking things way too seriously and don't get all of the jokes they make.
I would be very happy to meet some of you in the near future!
PHILOSOPHY
"Folge nicht den Spuren der Meister. Suche, was sie gesucht haben." (Zen) (~"Don't follow the masters' traces, look for what they looked for.")
I think that in the end, it is not about if you succeeded or failed but if you've tried at all and not given up hope at any time.
Sometimes it's very helpful to imagine to be the moon and look down to yourself on the earth - then a lot of problems disappear within a second.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Daft Punk, House, Electro, Dance, 80s, 90s.
Books: Mostly non-ficton books, about history, evolution, anthropology etc. As fiction I liked "Atonement", "The time traveler's wife" or "The Cider House Rules".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I built a really cool igloo together with my sister. It took us several days, but in the end, we had a really nice place to be.
I hiked up to Mount Etna and few minutes later there was an eruption...The bus driver did a good job to get us down again quickly.
Hiked Grand Canyon.
Saw other breathtaking landscapes in the US.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you German, tell you everything about children's use of tools (my research), and show you a bit of Birmingham.
