About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to find a mission is my mission

ABOUT ME

Madame Bovary, c'est moi!

I may seem boring as biology is my passion and my favourite activity is reading books but... no... there is no but. I'm boring ;)
On the other hand almost every couchsrufing member is "active, full of energy and spontaneous", so I guess being boring I'm a gem of a person! ;)

But don't worry. I'm not that boring. From the boring people I'm the most exciting one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Before participating the CS I used hospitalityclub. Thanks to hospitalityclub I met wonderful people who helped me during my journeys and some of them told me it's much easier to find a host (or be found by a guest) with couchsurfing. So I decided to give it a whirl.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best experience was my one-week trip to Berlin. I found a host who said he could host me for three days 'cause then he was going to South America. However after three days he said he trusted me and gave me keys to his flat asking to leave them in a mailbox when I was leaving Berlin. I was really surprised and touched :)

Interests

books: novels, scientific books, cookbooks, address books..., biology (from micro world to macro world, from secret life of molecules to secret life of whales, I'm a true nerd), languages, sport (swimming, skiing, hiking), cooking

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi (the movie was great as well), A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams, DNA: The Secret of Life by James D. Watson (the best book about the science I've ever read), Waiting for Snow in Havana by Carlos Eire, Isaac Bashevis Singer, Kurt Vonegut, Mario Vargas Llosa, Małgorzata Musierowicz (I felt in love with her books when I was ten and for once in my life I'm constant in my feelings ;))
Movies: "Miś" (Polish comedy from 1980 full of Polish inside jokes connected with comunism, so it's good to watch it with somebody from Poland), "Die Fetten Jahre Sind Vorbei", "Good Bye Lenin", Czech movies, "Wino truskawkowe"
Music: folk/rock/soul/everything

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking from Poland to FYROM (Macedonia). Unforgettable.
