About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

i was born in a country that does no longer exist,
under a political system that does no longer exist.
and i feel grateful and blessed that i had the opportunity to experience this different view of the world.

many people are against addictions, i do have many of them, including travelling, chocolate, cherries, inspiring conversations and hurting abs from laughing too hard...

when i meet someone for the first time i'm generally light and entertaining, i don't try to get to know people's innermost feelings and everything they've been through from the very moment i meet them. There are so many interesting, funny or strange stories to tell, you don't need to dig way deep into a persons psyche trying to make them open up and tell you all about their hopes and fears... if the connection is there, those things will come naturally, and if there isn't, there's no point talking about such stuff anyway.

Call me superficial if you wish, but that's how i am.
I can have a good time and talk for hours and hours about loads of things, and never run out of talking material, but some things are reserved to people who really care.

I believe real friendship takes time to grow, which does not mean that you can't become really close in some days spent together...

I value friendship over most other things in life, and i'd give my everything to be able to help a friend in need. a true friend is the most precious gift one can receive and should be cherished to the fullest.

As Forrest Gump's mum used to say : Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.

and that's what's exciting about it.
I'm always looking forward to what comes next and enjoy it to the fullest.

there's a song of the brand new heavies that says "you're a driver not a passenger in life" and that resumes a good part of my mindset. Luck and success comes to those who go get it, and not to those who sit on their ass waiting for things to happen complaining that nobody gives them their chance...

To me life is not a question of good or bad, ugly or beautiful, interesting or boring. it's just a question of compatibility and of the perspective from which you look at things or people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i love to rediscover the city i live in in the company of interesting people... when time allows i'm always up to playing tourist guide (or not-so-tourist guide, depending on who i'm with) and show people a part of MY Paris...

So even if you don't stay with me, please feel free to meet me for a coffee or a drink or some icecream or just a walk in the city... i'm always up for that...

i travel a lot, but when i'm in Paris i love having people at home, have some cool conversations around a nice dinner (always cool to test some new receipes on strangers, like that if they don't like it, they won't tell nobody you know haha)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a lot of couches over the last years in many places, some clean, some dirty, some big, some tiny, some by myself, some shared with others... but each time a great and enriching experience.

But that was before i got to know couchsurfing.com, so i guess it does not count as couch surfing experience...
