About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To turn off my cell phone and stop staring at this damned computer screen!
ABOUT ME
I am a 25 year old girl originally from Kansas! But don't worry, I am not a cow-tipping, bible-pushing, republican. (although it is perfectly OK if you are) I have learned that it is possible to find common ground with anyone and everyone.
I grew up in your typical suburban nightmare: SUV's, microwave dinners, strip malls, and American popular culture at its finest! Needless to say at 18 I was ready to find something else....anything else. I moved a bit around the US, lived and worked in various cities (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Hawaii) and then went abroad to Peru which sealed my wander lust and hunger for the strange and unfamiliar.
PHILOSOPHY
I am on a mission to get "unplugged". I believe in an anti-consumer approach to life and a reconnection with the land. I am very secure in my personal beliefs, yet I do not feel the need to judge other people for their own. I respect the whims and passions of others and strive to relate to everyone and everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first hour in Fiji I was sad and terrified as I was young and it was my first time traveling alone. I walked out into the ocean with tears in my eyes trying to clear my head. I must have walked a half mile or so in the low tide and when I looked down I was suddenly surrounded by hundreds of giant, electric-blue starfish. I knew then that I would be OK.
Teach, Learn, Share
I make "killer" muffins if you need a recipe.
