ABOUT ME

I got the travel bug in 2010 when I lived in Paris for a year as an Au pair. I was able to explore various countries & make some wonderful new friends. For fun I go out swing dancing, catch up with friends, restore old furniture & am looking forward to learning the guitar later in the year!

When Couchsurfing I socialise with the hosts, cook & if catching up over coffee I love learning about each others funny travel experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think it's a wonderful way to meet new people & see a city firsthand as the locals do! Dublin was the first place I Couchsurfed and went along to a Christmas Party where I realised how fun this concept is.

Interests

Since I was young I've had a passion for travel, so am very happy to be continuing that dream. I love design and architecture, exploring new hidden places, shopping, talking and just hanging around in various cities.
I always enjoy listening to live music, especially Jazz bands where I can swing dance. For some quiet time, TV series, movies & journal writing keep me pretty content!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Too many to list- plus I don't remember the names very often! But I like most genres of movies excluding Horror!
Music: On my radio you'll hear Triple J playing by some of my favourite artist like Meg Mac, Hilltop Hoods, Dylan Joel, Olympia, Flume Joel, Jazz, Swing - to name a few!!!
Books: Thrillers, travel, drama, biography's & not afraid of a good 'self help' book either!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing I think is amazing is a piece of furniture I restored. It is a Queen Anne side table that I covered with old pages from a Jane Austin book. I finished it off with a clear gloss coating & black gloss border. It's now a beautiful feature in my home. Happy to show you a picture someday!
