About Me

to be the idyle singer of an empty day...

ABOUT ME

Am a country girl living in the big city: living in London for around four years now.

PHILOSOPHY

An idyle singer of an empty day... (William Morris, my hero)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I still I haven't participated properly in couch surfing yet.

Interests

Cultural things; theatre; opera; art; museums. Discovering London. Being outside- a good mountain. Liberty department store. Pretty things. Making something useless yet aesthetically pleasing. An adventure just for you. Tasty food preferably shared with those you love. Cartwheels and King Crabs. Internationalism. People places and objects who make you see the world differently!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love gigs and this year in London have seen Asa; Tiken Jah Fakoly; Junip and Jose Gonzalez. I like folk/soul/

Books and movies I still have a long way to go!! Childhood movie: sound of music
First 18 rating: Con Air
Film that I want to be in: Science of Sleep
Film that made me think: La Haine
ummm thats all I've got haha!
Books: my brain is overloading with Victorian history at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been on a few short term volunteering projects with http://ivsgb.org/info... they are a small unpretentious charity with work camps throughout the world. If you want something cheap and volunteer for something completely out of your comfort zone I really recommend it. Their ethos fits in very much so with couch surfing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know the Victorian's used arsenic in their wallpaper for a certain shade of Green right up until the 1890's?

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Serbia, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
