About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To feel the beauty of life

ABOUT ME

I'm Monica, I’m into Gifted Education in Bucharest and I love everything connected to high spirits ;) I enjoy open mindedness. I enormously like travelling. I am curious to know foreign people and exchange about passion and trips discovered all over the world. I love to laugh. Not so talkative. Peaceful. Love harmony. Kinda artistic :-) And I work in integrative intelligence. Heart-mind-body. Mensa UK Member. I'm a management consultant, a specialist in gifted education and a practicing talent coach (my formation took place in Olde Vechte, NL).

PHILOSOPHY

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, 'Yes.'

It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A great guy from NL came to stay over for a week. It was a nice encounter, and we had great talks over investments :) It was a nice stay over! It was the first couchsurfing experience and it was good.
So. I believe in diamond cutter principles. One of them is to help others fulfil their dreams Including staying over to Bucharest ;))))

IF YOU VISIT BUCHAREST
Some of the most famous activities in Bucharest are:
* Vacaresti Lagoon, the only in Europe in a capital, UNESCO protected natural environment (King Charles of UK visited it!!)
*Therme bath (unique in Europe) sunbathing and partying
* Panoramic views in Park Lake, Panorama / Millenium Tower (Piata Scanteii) -8th level, really nice places to have a drink or dinner
*People’s House (Parliament’s House which can be seen from the moon)
* Paintball
* Lasertag
* bike renting (ivelo.ro) and riding near lakes (Herastrau, Ciurel)
*best nightlife and restaurants in Lipscani with affordable prices and loads of parties and events
*city sightseeing (hop-on and hop-off)
*very old Monasteries in Bucharest (Antim Ivireanu, Negru Voda, Domnita Balasa)
*horseriding, tennis and simming (Insime resort, Pitaru old village, 40 minutes ride by car)
*anticafe Seneca (where you can feel the city as is, you only pay your time)
*Museum of the Paysant and Village Museum near Kisellef road the best for traditional and authentic feeling of this country’s great history

It’s a safe city at night.
Lipscani is great for pubs and easy going fun and good food is available everyplace. You definitely have to try Therme, the largest hot bath in Europe. You can get a bike for free a couple of hours and ivelo.ro gives info. Visit Mogosoaia Palace, ride Ayan horse at Insieme resort near Bucharest. You can walk from Victoriei square by foot all night long on Calea Victoriei and its beautiful with a nice conversation and a dear one.
