ABOUT ME

Born in Alaska. Raised in Oregon. Educated in California. Living it up all over the globe.

In October 2012 I quit my job(s) in LA and bought a one way ticket to Hong Kong. I spent the following 4 months traveling around SE Asia (HK, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore). Now, I'm back in the US road tripping North America.

I love to travel (obviously), create, adventure, explore, geek out, and overall just try to experience as much of this weird world as I can while I can.

2 parts whimsy, 1 part sass.

PHILOSOPHY

The most dangerous risk of all - the risk of spending your life not doing what you want on the bet that you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was told about this website just as I was fleeing life in LA and indefinitely traveling in SE Asia. I am now back road tripping the US, hoping to meet some new amazing people and experience the best this continent has to offer!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been couchsurfing my way across North America and back. Can't wait to finally host once I've "settled down" (whenever/wherever that may be)! It's all about paying it forward.

Films: Labyrinth, Amelie, Jurassic Park, Mary & Max, and everything Wes Anderson. Yes, I realize I'm cheating with that last one. :)

Shows: Battlestar Galactica, Freaks and Geeks, Six Feet Under, Game of Thrones, and Californication.

I have traveled a decent amount and along with a million stories I have tons of tips for traveling around SE Asia, Costa Rica, Europe, and a decent portion of the states.

Working in television and film for years, I also have a lot of great stories on how wacky LA and "the business" can be - and why it should all be avoided! ;)
