About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To survive working on an Outback Cattle Station and somehow successfully reintegrate into civilisation once I finish here.
ABOUT ME
My goal is to travel the world, experiencing as much as I can until I find a place where I really belong. (I love you Canada, but -32?? Come on!!)
I'm fun loving, easy going and always looking for something to do. I'm the kind of girl who gets stuck on the highway during a freak winter storm and builds a snowman (complete with flower lei and cowboy hat) to pass the time.
PHILOSOPHY
With everything you do, regardless of your intentions, you have an impact.
"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around" - Leo F. Buscaglia
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far I've just been to a meeting or two, but they have been amazing! I'm really looking forward to using CS to meet new people as I travel, and hopefully find a couch or two.
Interests
New experiences And New People! Music, Scuba and Snowboarding
Wow, how generic was that?
While in Cairns, I rediscovered how much I love Scuba and started working towards my Advanced Open Water Diver certification. Currently have a deep dive and 3 AMAZING night dives under my belt.
As for snowboarding, well I've had a bit of a late start on that one so at this point I think I'm still more of a hazard than a snowboarder. But if I wasn't in Australia right now I'd probably be back home working (with a bunch of Australians) in Banff or Jasper at one of the mountains.
When it comes to music, my tastes vary depending on my mood. Not really a fan of rap or incredibly heavy metal, but otherwise I'll listen to just about anything. Lately it's been The Beach Boys, Ed Sheeran, Rise Against, Billy Talent, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Cute is What We Aim For.

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently Reading: Whatever I can find (The Girl Who Played with Fire)
To name a few: A Song of Fire And Ice, The Name of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, anything by Patricia Briggs
I suppose music should've gone into this one.. oops!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This probably doesn't count as being amazing, but I will always remember my first (and hopefully ONLY) kiss with a mechanical bull :)
And in case I DO forget, my lovely best friend has immortalized it on video for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
Regrettably, I'm not sure what I can teach the world. I seem to be learning a lot more than I teach (aside from little household tricks apparently haha)
Ideally, I'd love if I could share my positive outlook with everyone. Too often I find people let themselves be bogged down by little things going wrong.
There are no good or bad days. It's your attitude that makes the day what it is.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Oi... Well talking myself up is generally something I don't like doing. I suppose all I can say is that I do my best to be considerate of the people around me and would be really worried about crossing a line by accident. I have no problem entertaining myself, but at the same time would be more than willing to go with the flow of my host's plans.
