I believe in living in the moment, as cliche as that sounds. I'm occasionally dorky, never unkind, and almost always optimistic. I can't cook, but I love to eat. Biggest fear: heights and bats (the animal). I have faith in people. I trust that individual perseverance can make a difference.

I hiked to the top of Masada, a mountain in Israel at 4 in the morning. Sitting on a wall of the ancient city there, I watched the sun rise over the Dead Sea.
