ABOUT ME

About me, huh? Okay. I love to have fun and laugh as much as possible. I like to put back a few beers with friends. If there's a jukebox in the room, you can bet we won't be leaving until I hear some Beastie Boys and my favorite song by Voltio, "Un Amor Como Tu"

I really don't know what to write here, so tomorrow I will quiz all my co-workers and let you know what they say. So....here are what my friends and co-workers say describes me:

Interests

I love to play the piano. I must admit, though, that I'm not very good. I'm sure I drive my bro nuts with my constant plinking. The television is kept in the depths of the basement and is only pulled out for the occasional movie rental. I see as much live music as possible. My favorites are the locals showcasing their talents in a chill bar downtown. Of course, I also attend mainstream concerts when I have the funds.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I just watched October Sky for the first time last night. I really enjoyed it. Some favorites are: Super Troopers, Benny and Joon, Shag; the movie, Mallrats, Cold Mountain

Music: EVERYTHING! Life is so full of music! Drum circles, guitar around the campfire, piano and flute duets when friends who play one or the other come over.....
Michael Franti, Sam Bush, BEASTIE BOYS!!!! Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Voltio, Mattafix, Grateful Dead, Sweatshop Union, Eliza Gilkyson, Aimee Mann, Manu Chao, Tom Waits, Ani Difranco, Bob Marley, Wilco, Stevie Nicks, Led Zeppelin, Supertramp, Jethro Tull, Bob Dylan, and on and on and on and on

Books: I love Tom Robbins! My favorite book of his probably would be Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates, but it might also be Jitterbug Perfume. Hard to pick a favorite. I also enjoy reading Barbara Kingsolver (The Poisonwood Bible) By Mitch Albom: Tuesdays with Morrie, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, and For One More Day. Body and Soul by Frank Conroy is a good one for musicians.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing is: hiking an active volcano (and roasting marshmellows over the lava)
