Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find a way of making art somehow useful... politically... Shake people's vision of the world, a bit.
ABOUT ME
Well... I'm a Fine arts student in a master program, which leads me to put unusual objects and do strange interventions in public spaces... (go to my website if you want to see my work and my friend's work). I can cover all the extremes from quiet listener to intense debater, and from (occational) shyness to talkative and laughing and dancing when I feel at the wright place. Averages are for accountant (no offense)...
PHILOSOPHY
To do what I want the most in life, without compromises. And work as much as I have to to get where I want... Even if it's sometimes frightening, or anoying, or exhausting... But usually, it's just the opposite, anyway.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just registered, so it's hard to say... But I'd like to meet people where I travel, because for me the best way to learn about a city is through the people who live there, not monuments. Eventually, I'd like to do the same for visitors in Montreal.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
No CouchSurfing experiences yet. Except unofficial ones...
Interests
Art. Art with a critical view on society. Weird music shows in very small venues/lofts... Weird people, or just friendly ones, often in the same venues... Dancing with these people while listening to that music. Cooking when it's not only for me. Reading, as much as I can. Discovering artists/ideas/people I've never heard of. Talking about anything but the weather and tv programs. Receving money without doing anything (that can really happen!). Drinking tea and eating chocolate. Dreaming about revolution (that can really happen too!). Getting the f... out of Montreal (which is an amazing city, by the way).

Music, Movies, and Books
Litterature that deals with collage aesthetic, with political critic, or which tries to redefine the limits of writing. Dos Passos, Faulkner, Vargas Llosa, Joyce...
Same thing with movies. Right now, Godard and Fassbinder.
And music... Old and contemporary post-punk, garage, 70's rock/proto-punk, free-jazz, rockabilly, noisy and highly dancable electro, and music that mixes all the above.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen: a play called "Roman tragedies" by metteur en scène (producer?) Ivo van Hove, wich transposes three Shakespeare tragedies in a contemporary scenery filled with cameras and tv screens.
Teach, Learn, Share
Many things about art, espacially from a critical point of view. Maybe someone could tell me, in return, what's its use, beside from decorating and entertaining... I have a few ideas about that, but I wish I could believe in them more than a few days in a row...
