About Me

I joined the site back in 2015, when I did a 10 month solo round the world trip. After that that, I decided to live abroad. So I moved to Italy, to teach English. When I finished up there, I hit the road again for a month before heading back to Scotland. I have fallen in love with traveling the world!

I like to think I am very considerate and courteous. My plan in life is to see and do as much as I can... as for everything else, I'll work that out along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a real people person, and I want to use the opportunity of travel to meet others and broaden my horizons... this seems like the perfect way. And so far, it's delivered! I've really enjoyed all the people I've met through the site, be that hosts, or people to hang out with.

Interests

Music; I play the guitar ( a little) and love to sing. I also try to go to as many gigs and music festivals as I can. I love cooking and eating... bit of a foodie. I can be a bit of a boxset junkie at home...(obsessed with Game of Thrones) but when I am out and about, I love to explore cities or nature on foot. I'm also a Scuba Diver so try to get wet whenever I can, and would always welcome finding a new dive buddy!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have hugely eclectic tastes in everything:

I'm just a massive fan of live music... I have real admiration for anyone with a talent that has the ability to share it with others.
I love all kinds of movies: One of the best - Forrest Gump!
I've read and enjoyed too many books to say... but always fiction (love a good story!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped to build a primary school in Tanzania.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything and everything!

I'm a qualified secondary school teacher...my subjects are RMPS (which stands for Religious, Moral and Philosophical studies) and English, and now English as a foreign language. So if you love a debate over any sort of moral issue or philosophical question I'm your gal; or if you want to better your English speaking skills, then I'm up for that!

I'd love to learn another language ... Italian is one I am dabbling with currently, but I'd love to try the local tongue of wherever I am!

As for share ... I'll happily cook you a meal and regale you with my tales! Being half Irish, I should be able to tell a great story, but you can be the judge of that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

All that I have and all that I am.

Hopefully laughter, banter, and good times.
