ABOUT ME

How would I describe myself?? Oh I hate this but here goes.. I'd say I'm outgoing and slightly more adventurous than the average bear (also more clumsy). I'm genuine and unjudgmental and I appreciate that in other people. I'm a bit of a hippy at heart and I'd like to think I have a good sense of humour but I'm really not funny (unless everyone is drunk, then I'm f*****g hilarious!) Apart from that.. I dunno! I've been described as vibrant and I have a real lust for life. I'm also flakey, whimsical, creative and one big oxymoron (:

PHILOSOPHY

Life is ours for the taking. It's like a sushi belt; if we sit and fret about whether or not we're making the right choice or whether something better will come next we'll end up being politely asked to leave because the restaurant is shutting and we'll be poor and still hungry. Bad choices have to be made sometimes so we can make informed good choices. Sometimes life is scary but when I ask myself what I've got to lose and gain, most of the time the gain out weighs the potential loss so much that I have to take a deep breath and take the plunge (sometimes your end up with the gross fish roe but when you do, you know there's a mixed sashimi coming soon and you can always cover it in something tasty to make it bearable)

Pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone by learning something new, leaving what you know and surrendering to fate a bit more than you'd like is the only to grow. There's a whole world out there that's full of wonders and people just like me, just like you and some that are so alien you wonder if they're classified as homo-sapiens but everyone we come into contact with has something they can offer us and we can offer them and this gives me a deep rooted respect for all people, even if I don't always agree or understand their choices.

I truly believe everything is connected and because of this I try to understand as much as I can about the world so hopefully I can understand more about myself and my place in our world. Personal and social responsibilty bla bla.. Spread the love bla bla.. More hippy shit bla bla bla...

Take joy and comfort in the little things because the big things suck! Please shoot me the moment I am no longer excited by glitter or new lipstick or walking on walls or anything else that's trivial but makes my day.

I like science and the arts (I've become slightly transfixed with natural forms recently) and of course having a laugh and a drink *hangs head in shame as the British stereotype is completed*
