About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living and loving life! I have a great job, great friends, and a comfy place to live. I've been out of the CS loop for a bit, but looking to host again!
ABOUT ME
I work with special needs adults, and it fills my cup! I travel because I want to expand my world view....along with everyone else's in my life who don't have the opportunity to travel! I think people are fascinating, and there's always a learning opportunity. I love art, photography, beaches, having fun, plants and animals! :)
PHILOSOPHY
I love to learn and to educate--in a classroom or by talking in a bar. There is always something to learn!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
This is my contribution to world peace. I think a positive traveling experience is essential for this! :) REALLY!! Hear me out: traveling can be tough. We're worn down, pissed off, and THEN something random happens, and we lose it!! We sometimes blame the country or the people... I just hope that I can contribute in a small way, to peoples' experiences positively. Then, they pass their positivity on!! I really believe this. If we all do our part to break down stereotypes or cultural misunderstandings...the world will be a better place :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think it's a great way to really see a city, ESPECIALLY if you're there for only a short amount of time. They can show you the places beyond the touristy spots. They can show you the good places to eat and to have a good time. I love it. None of us can afford fancy hotels, and hostels sometimes have to be booked far in advance. Couches are good enough for me!
I have both hosted and have surfed in Europe and Asia, and am looking to do more!
Interests
Art, photography, gardening, TV, movies, animals--I have cats, reading, amazing landscapes... All kinds of things! I always find something to do.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm across the board with music and movies, but I'm ok with that. "Everything in moderation" is a motto of mine. Except books...I really like to stick to Historical Fiction. It's kind of my indulgence. But hey! I learn a lot about history that way! I got a million fun facts!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Something I experienced--that I KNOW is not that big of a deal to some...but for me it was really cool! I went to Finland in the summer of 2009, and the sun never set all the way! It was really cool! I was giddy for days! More recently, I went to Angkor Wat and swam with sea turtles in SE Asia. Dreams come true!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share things I've learned, and to talk about them with others. It's interesting to see how various things effect people differently--and then apply that to my life. Meet me! We'll talk about it over drinks sometime!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share one of my favorite places--my backyard! I've worked hard on it, and it's super relaxing and welcoming. I would love to take you to a local dive, show you show some awesome views, or just hang out with good company. North County San Diego is underrated and all who live here know we don't mind keeping it that way! We love living here! Wine tasting, breweries, country roads, and beaches!
