About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Elect political leaders into office who share my values of putting people and planet over profit.

ABOUT ME

I am smart, curious and excited about life. I want to see the world and experience it the cheapest ways possible. I work in local politics and am passionate about people. I know what it is like to struggle and am working to make sure less and less people have to. I believe that the US can be a better country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet wonderful people and enjoy the wonderful life of a share-economy even if it is for just a few nights.

Interests

I lived in the suburbs until moving to the City of Chicago for college in 2008 and most of my time was spent outdoors. I have done a bit of hiking and camping, but haven't experienced much climbing, but hope to in the near future. I'd like to see the rest of the world's natural beauty, stopping in at major cities only for a night or two.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is tough. Visiting the Cat-Cat village in the North of Vietnam was one of the most jarring and curious few days of my life.

Sitting atop an elephant and looking down at the villages and foliage in the North of Thailand.

Sliding down a waterfall in Thailand after hiking in the humidity for 2 hours.

Seeing Kangaroos in the parking lot of an Australian University, hopping around cars.

Seeing my feet through the almost completely clear water as I swam at my first Australian beach.

Traveling the US with my partner and sleeping in our car and meeting wonderful people who have shown us the utmost hospitality.

Traveling my own city of Chicago as a community organizer and hearing people's truths and understanding the struggle of the world even more every day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can take a tourist out of downtown Chicago and show them the magnificent culture my city has to offer outside of large buildings, chain restaurants and gooey deep-dish pizza!

I'd love for someone to give me the same in their city.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Possibly!
