CURRENT MISSION

Sobrevivir

ABOUT ME

I am Texan born and raised. I spend most of my free time planning my next adventure. I am a bilingual special education inclusion/resource teacher by trade, avid traveler and foodie by hobby.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to surrender to sorrow when everyone deserves to be content. Choose happiness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to not only experience a culture from the inside but to also share my own culture. I host Couchsurfers at my apartment in Dallas whenever I am available, and I take advantage of every opportunity to Couchsurf when I travel.

Interests

Traveling, International Relations, Bilingual Education, Immigration Reform, Architecture, Urban Planning, Photography, Rock Climbing, Music Festivals, Cycling, Linguistics, Camping, Hiking, and Billiards

And who doesn't love a good party with a lot of craft beer? LOL

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: I know this is cheating, but I really do love ALL music (bossa nova, indie rock, hip hop, minimal techno, jazz, norteña, it's all fair game)

MOVIES: Marvel everything, Inception Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Independent Foreign Films, and Documentaries

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, Spanish, and Portuguese. I am also a photographer, so I can give you a few tips and trips on how to capture unforgettable moments. Make the most of your life while you're here. Do one thing every day that scares you. The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my love of food, travel, and craft beer

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Qatar, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United States, Uruguay
