About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To really travel. Not just to be a tourist, but, get to know the real life of a foreign country
ABOUT ME
I'm American, not Canadian! I've been asked about a billion times already. Not that I hate Canada. I love Canada! But, its just a misrepresentation of myself if I do tell someone I'm Canadian...
But, I digress. It is the beginning of my life as a backpacker. I left home not with bridges burned but, a feeling of accomplishment. I have done the homebody thing. Now, its nomad time!
I love taking the road less taken to find my own way around. This is what I strive for. To give into my instincts to find happiness.
Speaking of happienss, I love to get out and have fun! New experiences, new people, new sights, new sounds, everything.
I am pretty easy going and love to laugh. I try to get along with everyone. Except Canadians... Ok, that is a joke. Apparently I'm pretty sarcastic as well...
PHILOSOPHY
Do what you want, life is WAY too short.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couch surf! I like to at least leave my hosts with at least some interesting stories and good times. Sometimes, I can cook something delicious, if I don't burn it :). I'd love to find an event wherever I am!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Everyone is very accommodating and welcoming even in adverse circumstances. The best thing about a new place is definately the people!
CS´ing events are an amazing way to get a group of us together for absolute nonsence!
Interests
Travelling, singing, learning, playing the accordion, night life, day life, tourist stuff, non-tourist stuff, old things, new things, current things (events), meeting new people, meeting old friends, language, dancing, any form of art, LIFE!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
I tend to surround myself in music more than anything. Though I do like to go out to the occasional movie that looks mind blowing. Books, I like reading but, I'm so ADD sometimes I move on in the middle of a book quite easily. So, for music, I love classical (especially, but not limited to, opera), old rock, new rock, metal, musical theater, 80's pop, the occasional guilty pop song, dance music, music to dance to, underground rap, old school rap, blues, jazz, polka, and accordion music, jamming randomly with friends... I think I've covered all music or at least tried to. There isn't much I don't enjoy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Italy.
Camping on a beach near the azure window in Malta, eating bbq'ed eel, watching a thunderstorm develop over the sea. It was something I'll never forget.
Having an Opera off.
Going to a squatter's party in Amsterdam in an abandoned train station in a bus that was converted into the bar. €1 beer, holla!
Tongariro crossing with a hundred or so new friends and losing my voice trying to talk to them all!
Teach, Learn, Share
Seattle-ites sound like Canadians.
Don't travel by the book, but sometimes do travel by the book cause sometimes they know more about the place then you or even locals but, its amazing to find something you had no idea about.
There are people willing to open their homes and to share what little they have in any country.
Eat whatever is given to you. It probably won't kill you and it will taste good!
