À propos de moi

Most people don't read below or home section so must know: it's an Rv shared space pull out couch. If you actually want to stay with me because of who I am you are more likely to get accepted. If you are of like mind with a thorough profile you have a better chance. If you are actually traveling this helps. My schedule is sporadic at the moment so I cannot accept requests with a lot of notice, but if it's closer to your stay and I have availability I will surely accept! I love hosting, but this winter and cost of living increases the last two years have made me need to supplement my income, making availability unknown until week of.

CURRENT MISSION

To always stay meeting new and interesting people who expand and challenge my world

ABOUT ME

I Am.

Hugger! Independent/strong. Seeker of new constantly. Ambivert. People person but generally quieter. Prefer smaller groups with real conversation. Intuitive and understanding and a reader/watcher of people. Easy going. Happy go lucky.

I'm all about open hearted authentic people who are comfortable in their own skin and who are do'ers. But maybe not in the sense that society normally thinks. Do'ers in the sense of going out and being their authentic selves and doing whatever they want! Acceptance. Genuine.

A great day would be to live in the forest and grow some food and eat it with people you love.

I can't get outdoors enough but am realizing that the more you do this it's not enough to just do it, it's to do it with real connections. So if my connection with myself is deeper than those around then that would be more rewarding.

I recently created some art for transformational festivals and burning man. I love these communities but am in no way the hippies they warned you about or the ones i'd warn you about. I find awareness in the simple things and science and understanding, not so much in the flowery explanations we give ourselves. All the knowledge is already within us and we don't have to know everything outwardly to know it inwardly. I am still a cultural product of a very diverse upbringing in MD.

I used to be a mechanic, but have traded that for a life of hustling and playing, making money where I can and just enough to keep it simple and to maximize play and exposure to new experiences.

"what day is it," pooh asked. "today," answered piglet. "my favorite day," replied pooh.

PHILOSOPHY

Fight the ego by not fighting at all.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Living meagerly and simply means not buying into consumerism. The best experiences I've had come about from the gifting community. I intend to give and receive one of the basic needs in this world, a home. The best experiences are when you can or can't fulfill a need on your own but instead it is fulfilled by someone who sees that need and offers to fulfill it.

Providing a crash pad when I can! Getting one when I can! Try to offer a home cooked meal to those who host me. Sometimes I want an experience, sometimes it's late and I need me time so I can only offer a bed and not as much socializing. I would recommend everyone get with the spirit of this site, for travelers wanting to have more of a lifestyle experience, and for those who actually care about who you stay with and pick the ones you'd most connect with by reading about them. But I've been in dire need and understand that need too! I'm not the best of planners so I often throw caution to the wind and just dive into finding a host for a last minute trip, but I appreciate and understand both ends. Finding your best host to brighten your experience is fucking awesome so doing work on here is key.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great. Just done a bit officially through this site. Mostly my adult life crashing with new people I've met. Festival in washington after hitching from idaho when my car broke down. Friends of friends. With russians I met in Yosemite on a solo backpacking trip. Hitched around the country a bunch too. Been great, anyone on this site I'm sure is of like enough mind. With more experience on here I realize it is important to find kindred spirits. It makes for the best experiences! I appreciate this site more than any other! )'( welcome! Once I landed in Kauai and had no information or plans at all, and serendipitously a host snatched me up for the whole week and then I found out she wanted to go to a yoga festival in nz which I could provide access to. All these little things work out when you are open to life and available for independence but seek assistance for the fun of it!

Some of you need to understand that this isn't just a forum for you to save money and use someone. I am happy to understand that side of it to help be a tool for your wonderful colorado experience, but I've had equally good and bad experiences on here of entitled people who only give to get. So if you are understanding of the spirit of this forum then you will know to add this word, spirit, into your message so I know you've read my profile. This will help me know that you gave a damn to ;) It's also not a forum for hosts to use their surfers, as I've experienced too. So this is a gift with nothing expected in return. But expanding your profile and being thoughtful will, basically the golden rule of treating others as you want to be treated, ...will be reciprocated, but needs not be the reason to give. Give to give.
