I live in Panajachel, Solola, Guatemala for about half of the year, the other half is spent between North Carolina and California. I design clothes for my own company and produce them using recycled cortes (traditional skirts from Guatemala)!!

Work together, unify, split evenly… we can do together what none of us can do alone

You are as only as great as you see yourself to be…

The moment you stop looking at life with a student mentality is the moment you know nothing at all.

Act alone and for yourself, always doing what’s best for yourself, others may follow.

Never judge anyone on their appearance… expect kings and queens until people prove you otherwise.

Don’t fight anyone else’s battles for them… Definitely don’t involve yourself in anyone’s squabbles…

Strive to be truly happy… give yourself a great reason to wake up in the morning… Greet every single day with PRIDE, PASSION, and PURPOSE!!!

Be neighborly noble and nice

Take care of and love yourself before others… but don’t FORGET about others… your most satisfied moments are within the gifts you bring to others

You can’t HELP or FIX anyone, however, if you can take it on, you may be able to guide them in a more positive direction.

If you don’t like something, don’t complain about it… do something about it or move on. But remember that the moments your push yourself through tough experiences will create a source of pride.

We are only as great as we see ourselves... The more reminders we can put in our lives to remind us that WE ARE GREAT, the easier it is for us to accept this simple FACT!

Fill your life with loving people to remind you of these things.

Don’t be a self righteous and judgmental… you will not always be right, remember (in retrospect) how little we actually know… Is there any point worth arguing when we know nothing?

People will usually only listen to what they WANT to hear… Always tell them what they NEED to hear…

Smart people learn from their mistakes, but it takes a true genius to
learn from the mistakes of others… Listen to failures, they are opportunities for improvement!

Wherever you go, there you are… You can’t take a vacation in the physical world from your internal problems… (although it helps sometimes)

Watch your tongue, think about your words and actions and their potential impacts…

Speak firmly, with wisdom, and truth. But remember that you will always learn more from listening and reflecting

LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN… But be careful not to take on other’s problems. You have enough to deal with as it is… but a little advice never hurt anything.

You can’t trust everyone, but everyone deserves a chance until they prove you otherwise… Don’t invest a value in someone (whether with work or money) that overcompensates their value to you as a friend. You will never be let down or lose a friend over paper/time… Remember though to forgive and not let anything come between the ones you truly love.

It’s always good to ask for a second, third and fourth opinion… You could be color blind and miss the only red door of opportunity… it was there in front of you… but you were blind to it… It is a simple gesture from one who wasn’t hindered by your color blindness that shows you the door!

Take great care of your most precious gift… your CONSCIOUS MIND

Don’t hate the traffic, realize that you ARE the traffic…

You see and perceive in others the things you see in yourself… More so than not, you will look critically upon the qualities in others that you despise most in yourself, use this to your advantage and treasure those people’s imperfections, for they have just shown you yours :)

Whether or not something is Wrong or Right, you have justified it in some way as acceptable for YOU to do.. Afterall, YOU are YOU… Remember? And if YOU’d do it… anyone would… Right??

Don’t accept limitations… but always strive to use moderation!!

keep a notebook/journal

get engulfed in music… as much as possible… whether you’re playing it or listening… saturate life with music, it helps create better memories.

do things for love and purpose, drive your happiness and don’t stop… success follows shortly after.

Measure success with happiness not dollars

everyone has something to offer… don’t burn bridges, but if it’s necessary you can put a few cones in front of them indefinitely…

random acts of kindness are fantastic… but well planned acts of kindness are better… reward the people you love for being awesome

the people who love you the most should be the ones pushing you… be more confident in them than they are in themselves!!!

inspire and follow your heart…

you shouldn’t ever care about what everyone thinks…. but act accordingly, and think of the ones you love the most before you make decisions.

if you think you are addicted to chocolate, you are… if you decide you don’t like spicy food… you never will… but if you make the decision to be without self inflicted character traits, change will forever present itself to you!

blame only yourself and your perception… but be gentle and forgive yourself, you’re only human :)

be free from judgement… let the things that you once judged shape you into a better person…

Keep your body balanced and healthy, heal with sound, experience, and light

Forgive! Always… it’s not worth having anything on your heart, let it go… it’s probably not that important.

how to live forever… place your love within others for them to place within others, insuring your infinite existence

The love you give is like the light of the stars, some have long since burnt out and disappeared, but their light never ceases to exist… fill the world with as much love as possible and make it a brighter place.

YOURSELF… as well as every other person on this planet are ALL deserving of love. Don’t forget that….

Explore where you are today so that you can contribute more, and so that you can understand people better and appreciate them more, while creating the connections that help us overcome our challenges.

thinking we are right is dangerous, when we stop entertaining the idea that we are wrong is when we make our worst mistakes.

If you really want to rediscover wonder; you need to step outside of that tiny, terrified space of rightness, look around at each other, and look out at the vastness, complexity, and mystery of the universe… and be able to say… “Wow… I don’t know… Maybe I’m wrong?”

We should all listen more and say "I'm wrong" more often... If you think the world is just as your perceive it, what's left to know?
