Overview
About Me
I'm an explorer by nature, and I keep nature as my compass. If I have ambition at all, it's for love, courage and wisdom. Simplicity, compassion, integrity- these are what are important to me.
Although a voracious reader, I tend to place the most value on experiential understandings.
I enjoy healthy earthy pleasures like good food and music, recognize the relationship between self-discipline and wellbeing, and have a desire to be someone others can trust and relate to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What's not to like about a community-driven alternative to the confusion and frenetic pace of tourist-trap travel? This way I can meet interesting people, share experiences and ideas with them, be immersed in foreign cultures and places, all in an authentic way. And should any friends I make come to Australia, I can offer them the same opportunities: win/win!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Met a teacher in the depths of the Ecuadorian Amazon, who introduced me to myself :)
Teach, Learn, Share
The path ahead is sharing. Sharing knowledge, experience, ideas, art -- anything that nourishes the human soul.
I am a qualified psychotherapist and am currently also studying Vedic astrology, Yoga and Ayurveda courses. I think holistic health is our birthright and tapping into the wisdom of ancient cultures is essential in reclaiming it.
I also coordinate a grassroots environmental campaign in Australia, protecting National Parks from exploitation by commercial forces. I strongly believe the natural world is our origin and destruction, and in this time of ignorance and destruction we need to protect 🌏
What I Can Share with Hosts
I don't have any remarkable skills, only an abiding fascination with the Mystery. This translates strongly into a keen interest in foreign cultures and ecologies — I am always thankful for opportunities to roam the world and experience life’s immense diversity. Hopefully I can provide my hosts with a helping hand and some good discussion in return for their hospitality :)
