There are 4 of us. Mitch, Cynthia, and our two energetic kids, Laney and Leo. We have settled in to the typical work/school/local recreation routine, but want to travel more and meet folks from different places.

Cynthia is from Tijuana, Mexico. She is a homemaker and cake-baker.
Mitch works in Energy Efficiency helping people learn to save money on their utility bills and make a positive impact on the environment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We want to travel more and meet people. The community is awesome! We have gotten to know amazing people and it's truly the best way to experience the places you visit. Getting to know locals of the places we've visited has been eye opening in a way that wouldn't have been possible without Couchsurfing.

Interests

Mitch: I'm from a small, rural town in the south. I have always been into the outdoor experiences like hiking and camping. I also enjoy reading and playing strategic games.
Cynthia: I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, baking, playing soccer and volleyball.
Above all we love spending time together as a family, traveling, and trying to better ourselves.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mitch: Indie and bluegrass. Marvel movies have been our go to lately. I enjoy Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game books, and Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
Cynthia: Pop, R&B, and Latin music. Marvel movies, 1984 by George Orwell.
We both love the Harry Potter world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mitch spent two years serving in Mexico doing missionary work, which is how he ended up meeting Cynthia later. We also traveled together to Europe and saw 6 countries over three weeks.

Teach, Learn, Share

Mitch knows a lot about energy efficiency and green building, and enjoys talking about it.
Cynthia has studied accounting and marketing and is great with, crafts, baking, and fashion.
