About Me

I mostly define myself by my interests, so take a look below!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a fantastic way to see cities through a more personal cultural lens and to hear about people's various stories. Of course, Couchsurfing is a cheaper way to see the world too! I also hope to eventually host a variety of people myself.

Interests

I recently finished my sociology undergrad and plan to eventually pursue grad school in public policy. I love studying societal trends and their root causes. Basically, I wanna improve some facet of society through research!

I'm also a huge music nerd. I love discovering music and spreading the joy of music. I play bass and piano myself. But, I can't resist tinkering with whatever instruments are in front of me!

Fitness and health are also huge parts of my life. I'm a weightlifter myself, but I have fun in any form of exercise. I love a good burn and eating a great meal afterwards. Cooking is a favorite past-time of mine, so let's make random dishes together!

Music, Movies, and Books

Musical artists: David Bowie, Tim Hecker, Fleet Foxes, Danny Brown, The Knife.
I always listen to an array of genres, though! Which yes, includes both country and death metal.

Books: Crime and Punishment, All My Sons, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Nelson Rodrigues's literature

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked in the mountainous national parks around Rio, where our newly-made group went off the designated paths to explore the breathtaking caves, forests, and peaks around the area.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm eager to learn whatever you might have to offer!

I'm probably best at teaching people about sociology because I study it so much! That being said, I definitely can teach regarding any of my interests--or just fun places to visit around the cities I've been.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking, music, and conversation!
