About Me

Hello!
I'm originally from Perth, Western Australia & have been living & working (on a 2year working visa) in London for the past two years. I have spent the majority of my time working in a lovely british pub in Camden Town where I have realised my passion in hospitality, serving and helping others.
I'm a very laid back guy, I don't take myself to seriously and love having a laugh, love to have a beer here and there but really do enjoy chilling out to a good book or vibing out listening to some good music what ever that may be.

When I'm not working I'm enjoying all that London has to offer be it, the vibrant music scene in its varied genre's, to spending time being involved in the many cultures that inhabit London.

Due to my working visa expiring in the coming months (June '17) I've turned my gaze to Germany, Berlin to be exact, where I would like to pursue my new found passion and enjoy all that I hope Berlin has to offer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even though I have not yet taken the opportunity to couch surf on my travels so far, my plans to move to German have sparked my interest in couch surfing & hope it will be the best way to dive head first into the German culture & way of life and help me get my foot in the door to a new city.

Interests

Most of my interests I enjoy, I have realised that they have mostly boiled down to the experience...the process & being in the moment. Not focusing to much on the big expensive or best thing or biggest experience, but the little things in everyday life & enjoying taking your time in what ever you do. It might not be the easiest or quickest way but I find to be the most enjoyable. Be that taking my time to cook a awesome meal from scratch, film photography to yoga & meditation.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to my favourite music...it's not necessarily about the specific genre... I can enjoy various genre's of music be it, house music, pop, jazz, techno, hip hop, soul or funk. For me its about the particular vibe or presence the music creates is what I'm about. I'm definitely not one that knows everything or anything about music...but its all about the experience it creates.

Bookwise, I like to involve myself in books that get me thinking about particular subjects or ideas. That could involve better ways to look the world itself, the world we live in day to and how to about making a positive change in yourself and others. I'm quite fascinated & intrigued in ancient eastern philosophy & culture and I'm slowing reading through books related to Confucius & Mencius at the moment.

i wouldn't say I watch alot of movies as I'm quite particular in what I like and what I like I'm not entirely sure of (lol) but anything by Wes Anderson & Tarantino are always a thumbs up by me

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing I have done, was moving to London. It may sound a little boring but i think it helped me to get me out of my comfort zone that I felt like I was stuck in back home and forced me to feel and experience new things, food, cultures, music and most of people which I think is the best thing you can do...is to meet new people, every is interesting in their own way if you give them the chance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share friendly/light heart vibes, music and I'd like to say I can cook reasonably well...but thats ofcourse subjective ;)
