Hey I'm Mitchell, but you can call me Munga, I do my best to offer good vibes, laidback conversations and fun stories. I'm keen to learn as much as I can about your city, what it has to offer and how you see it. Locals are the true source for the best kept secrets about cities and I would love to know what your city means to you! I'm still studying back in Sydney and fresh from a full year studying in Mexico. I love music, movies and reading, so if you're in need of a laidback guest, I can chill with a screen in my hand, although rest assured if you want the spirit Australia is renowned for, I can channel my true blue and get chatting or drinking or whatever you have in mind! I love dogs, I can kick it with cats and can definitely offer assistance in the removal of bugs (we've got some interesting ones back in Aus!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As much as I do enjoy the hostel experience, I appreciate the true local experience more. I believe that through the couchsurfing community I can get to know a city, experience all it has to offer and get a chance to make new friends at the same time. A friend put me onto this site and I'm really glad he did, this seems like a beautiful way for community to still exist in this ever changing world.

Music:
That's tough, i try to listen to new genres and artists all the time, but if I could could you a little look into my artists at the moment --> Zhu, Rufus, Odesza, Goldlink, Anderson Paak, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Amine, Electric Mantis, IM.RUX, Mose, Trevor Hall, Nicola Cruz, Mura Masa, In Love with a Ghost, Human Movement, Flight Facilities... and many many more!

Movies:
I love heaps and heaps of movies but if i had a top 5:
Top Gun, Point Break, The Last Castle, The Dark Knight, The Departed. Although these are majorly action, I can dig on plenty of other genres, I mean who isn't a sucker for Love Actually come Christmas time :)

Books:
I love a good story, i enjoy thriller and action stories, fast paced, page turners! Although i do dig on some serious non fiction stuff like Malcolm Gladwell or George Friedman

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh man, I think studying for a year in Mexico is one of the most fun experiences I've had in my life, leaving behind all my friends and family in 2017 to go study in a country I had never been. I was scared and nervous and confused, but after more and more time I fell in love with Mexico. I grew as a person and learned more and more Spanish. I am so grateful for the opportunity that my university gave me and I certainly have plenty to talk about with 2018 and all that it involved!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure what skills I really have to teach or to share, but one thing I am always happy to lend is my ears. I'll always be someone who listens to every word, I want you to be heard and I will try to help in whatever way I can. I guess I can help with some English or some Spanish, I can write reasonably well, I try to be creative and if you want a little story written for you, i'd love to practice some more!
