I want to do two things in life; see as much of the world as possible and leave a lasting positive legacy on the world. This philosophy has dominated my life since I finished school!

I am currently working as and studying to be an Engineer! I also founded a Not For Profit in my local community which serves to promote sustainability and community cooperation through initiatives like a library of things and community gardens.

For the other half of my 'purpose' I have been trying to explore as much around the beautiful Greater Sydney region after returning from a three month road trip around the equally as beautiful North American West! So I can definitely share some of this insight with any surfers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Christopher McCandless of Into the Wild fame said two things which both struck a chord in me;
"Happiness only real when shared" and "the core of man's spirit comes from new experiences".

I want to go out and explore the world, constantly gathering new experiences from beautiful natural vistas to meeting amazing people and experiencing their culture. But to do any of that properly I believe you need to share your world with others and that's why couchsurfing is such a great service!

I think community and connectedness is what will save the world and I'd love to be a part of anything that seeks to do just that.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Wide taste of music and enjoy something from nearly all genres, some of my favourite artists would be; Bon Iver, Loyle Carner, Caamp, Leon Bridges, Tyler Childers, Arctic Monkeys and Dave.

Movies and TV:
Loved Breaking bad (El Camino was great), Game of Thrones (season 8 sucked though) and most recently House of the Dragon and the Bear.

Denis Villeneuve can do no wrong, Blade Runner 2049, Dune and Prisoners are some of my favs. Loved into the Spiderverse. This is an A24 fan house, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On is a top 5 2022 film. We really like movies and both have a letterboxd account so pls share yours if you do too! Cooper Raiff has become a fav in this house this year too.

Books:
The Dune Saga is the best. Also love Jack London and Ray Bradbury. Indy is an english tutor and loves the classics. We've got a pretty extensive library which we are happy to share and discuss!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to an elephant sanctuary in Thailand where rescued elephants were rehabilitated (no riding or elephant abuse was carried out here) and was able to have lunch overlooking a family of bathing elephants which was a pretty awe inspiring experience.

Going to put more than one teehee, hiking into the Grand Canyon and up Angel's Landing in Zion NP were breathtaking.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can teach a lot about history and philosophy, cooking tips and also how to ride a bike :P You can play around with some of my electronics too if you want. I am working on a little robot arm at the moment.

Learn:
I want to learn about your opinions on the world, more about your community and culture and what makes your life different to mine! Also if you wanna teach me guitar that would be fun :)
