About Me

I am a 22 year old Uni student having just finished exchange in Scotland! I have a serious case of wanderlust which I am currently fulfilling.

I love to meet new people and explore cities to their core.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I am travelling myself and don't have a couch to offer. Will rectify that situation upon my return to Australia!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a newbie!

Interests

I just finished my undergraduate degree majoring in History and Politics. This was for me one of the main reasons that drove me to travel the Old World. So far Barcelona and the Scottish highlands have been my highlights so far.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a specific go-to genre, as it really depends on my mood. But my current faves include Haim, Cut Copy, Adrian Lux, Calvin Harris, CHVRCHES, and RUFUS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The La Tomatina Festival in Bunol.

From being squished in the crowds, pounded by tomatoes (getting a rather large nasty one in the eye) and blasted with a water canon I can truly say that I came off second best to this festival.

I would 100% recommend La Tomatina to whoever is brave enough. It is definitely something that you need to tick off your bucket list but once is enough for me!

Teach, Learn, Share

Some things I have learned on my travels so far:

Always have a charged phone or map prepared in advance ready to navigate a new city. When I arrived in Valencia my phone conveniently died on arrival, so to navigate my way to the hostel (whose name I had also forgotten) I stumbled around looking at maps in Spanish for guidance. A couple of hours later having managed to get into the centre of town I found myself having stumbled across the hostel. Never again haha.

Never expect a wink of sleep if you need to spend an extended layover at an airport. My 8 hour experience in Dubai taught me that the seats with hand rests are deliberately cruel, and that no amount of time spent trying to get comfy will allow you to find a comfortable sleeping position.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a rather pleasant spag bowl, burrito or stir fry. Also like to think I make a good salad. Also good at washing up :)

I like to think I have a good sense of humour as I will laugh at anything.

I am also friendly and outgoing!
