ABOUT ME

I grew up in Colorado and California in the US. I ran the coolest coffee shop in Boulder, CO for many years where I learned how to truly bring people together of all shapes, sizes, religions, social classes, colors, beliefs, and any other silly criteria you can attribute to people. I found that my calling in life is creating cool places for people to come together.

I went to China in 2007 to be a teacher and was there for 4.5 years. I became the Academic Director of an international department here. I really love Chinese culture and I was super lucky to live in Xiamen, China. It is truly paradise.

I returned to the U.S in 2011 and began work as a web and graphic designer. In the process I was on a Swedish reality show and lived in the mountains of California.

I returned to Denver, in 2014 and I am so glad to be back. This is a wonderful place to be and I'm right in the heart of the city.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to soak up life. My motto, "Just living the Dream!" I think life is all about the sauce. I love people, I love animals, and I love food. As Mavis Leyrer said, "The object of life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, 'Holy Shit, What a Ride!!!'

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm happy to participate in any way I can. I've been to a few meetups and I'm happy to host people and look forward to staying with people. I've been a part of Couchsurfing for years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to couch surf on this site, but I've definitely surfed on many friend's couches in the past. I look forward to hosting some cool people in my comfy pad, and hope to meet some cool new people in the places I visit in the next few months.

Interests

I'm interested in everything. From science, religion, art, music, films and film production, searching for the meaning of life, breathing, love, dancing, reading books, swimming in the sea, climbing mountains, coffee shops, go kart racing, meditation, my cat, the weather, and anything else I haven't had a chance to explore yet.
