About Me

Born and raised in the Netherlands, with an Afghan background.
I like conversations but I hate small talk. I like helping people or making them smile. I like traveling. I like street artists and art galleries. I like thrift shops and fashion. I like getting lost (and finding my way back). I like hiking, skating or riding my (now stolen) bike. I like to climb trees and high places. I communicate through a lot of sarcasme, so don't get hurt.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like getting to know people and make memories, listen to their stories and brighten my own view on life.

Interests

Every Friday, me and my friends used to have jam sessions in this dusty janitor closet after classes were finished. There was a keyboard, a saxophone, guitars, drums and a whole lotta singing/screaming.
I play a bit of guitar and some uku, not well (don't expect much).

Music, Movies, and Books

"What am I doing with my life" by Krishnamurti.
It's a collection of the thinking of an Indian spiritual teacher. I must admit I never finished this book, but the 30-40 pages I actually read, were mind-changing. After that period I got so busy, I couldn't properly take the time to finish it ..
If you're caught up in unanswerable questions about life and you need to chill down, this one is recommendable.

Also, Shantaram (by David Gregory?) Criminal escapes Australia and starts building up a new live in India. Absolutely beautifully written and based on a true story..

Fyi I dont read a lot. These are probably the only book titles I will ever remember.
But they are genuinely good. I promise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
