About Me

MISSION:
Move, Breathe, Connect.
ME:
Born in Russia, thoroughly bathed in the Midwest, at this point in my life I've been too far away from both these places to call them home. I lived in rural Vermont for 7 years, and moved to Western Mass this year. For the first time, I can invite couch-surfers to come stay with me! If you're in the area, come stay with me and my 2-3 housemates. We will either have a small room for you or a couch. We're an early to bed and early to rise house-hold, so if you're looking to stay up in to the wee hours of the night with a rowdy crew, we're probably the wrong household. If we're home, we would be happy to cook together and chat over dinner, go out for a coffee or beer, play a board-game, or go do something outside, or just shoot the shit over tea. It's also entirely possibly that we will all be busy, and you'll have the house to yourself and our cat. Generally we are all into plants, farming, art, moving our bodies, food, and board-games. Rock-climbing, yoga, and Systema (Russian martial art) are some other activities that take up my time.
I studied ceramics and biology, in school but have been working in wilderness education, leadership, and therapy mostly since graduating, although I've done may share of studio internships and residencies. I'm passionate about building meaningful connections with people, land, and materials. I'm starting to realize that physical movement and interaction is a really big part of that for me, and that I'm getting good at facilitating embodied, connective experiences for other people... So, I guess I'm working on figuring out how to make that my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started Couchsurfing my freshman year of college, but couchsurfing really came in to my life the next year, when I took a year away from school. Since then, couch-surfing has been a sweet way to be able to travel on my limited budget, a nice way to connect with people when traveling alone, and now I'm ready to host!
