About Me
Hello! I'm İlhan, a bass guitarist and lyricist in the Atari Kasedi music band, as well as a basketball referee also standup comedian. But earn my life as an engineer. I'm an avid traveler who loves meeting new people worldwide and exploring different cultures. I joined Couchsurfing to enrich my travels and experience local adventures.
For me, traveling is not just about seeing new places, but also connecting with new individuals and listening to their stories. Sharing my own culture and learning about others' makes my travel experiences more meaningful.
Hospitality is a way of life for me. I've been a guest in many homes in my country and around the world, always feeling warmly welcomed. Now, it's my turn to host and share my city with visitors!
My home is located in Ankara, a place filled with cultural richness and vibrant experiences. I'd love to guide you through exploring this amazing city and recommend some local delights for you to try.
I see Couchsurfing not only as a platform for accommodation but also as a tool for building new friendships and making the world a more understanding place. That's why I take pride in being part of this community.
If you're on the road and looking to take a break in the Ankara area, me and my wife would be thrilled to meet you and offer you a place to stay in my home. I look forward to making new connections and creating unforgettable memories together!
See you soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe in the power of genuine human connections and cultural exchange. Traveling isn't just about ticking off destinations on a map for me; it's about immersing myself in different cultures, learning from locals, and building friendships that transcend borders.
Couchsurfing provides a unique platform where travelers like myself can connect with welcoming hosts, share stories, and experience destinations through the eyes of those who call them home. By opening up my home to fellow travelers and being hosted by others, I not only save on accommodation costs but also gain invaluable insights into the places I visit.
Moreover, Couchsurfing embodies the spirit of hospitality and generosity that resonates deeply with me. It's about paying forward the kindness and warmth I've received from strangers in my own travels, and creating a global community founded on trust, respect, and mutual understanding.
Through Couchsurfing, I hope to not only find a place to stay but also to foster meaningful connections, learn from diverse perspectives, and contribute to making the world a more compassionate and interconnected place—one couch at a time.
